Logical Questions

And yet, the elections are still going on as scheduled.

Huh?

Let's put Bush aside for a second, I mean, what the hell is he supposed to say? Of course it's "full steam ahead" for these elections; he desperately needs something - anything! - positive that he could spin in the middle of this colossal disaster. And if innocent Iraqi are killed in the process so he can have something to brag out, so be it. What does he care ("pro-life", Ha!)?

But how the hell WILL they protect all the voting places spread out all over the country? Heck, how do they expect the voters to even GET to the polls without being killed?

And after the "election," then what? Nothing's going to change. The country will still be in chaos and those that are "elected" won't be able to do anything. They won't be able to show their faces because they'll all have targets on their backs!

So who's the freakin' moron that expected to have elections in the middle of a god damn war zone?!

Why haven't these logical, common sense questions been asked by the so called "liberal media" to anyone in our government the past few weeks and months?

HELLO?! Anyone home?

A GOP talking point that trys to confront this, is a comparison to El Salvador.

But El Salvador did not have the same conflicting dynamics as Iraq. Such as: Sunni's, Shiites and Kurds all fighting each other for control, a bunch of influential clerics that hold enormous clout, a number of militia groups who have their own claims on power, and Baathists and Republican Guard members still beholden to Saddam Hussein - with each group having suicide bombers on their speed dial and access to tons of explosives and weapons.

If that's not enough, you have this al-Zarqawi character running around like Rambo creating his own chaos, Iran trying to influence events so they can have control on any "government" that does take hold, and 150,000 American troops caught in the middle of this mess.

Oh and by the way...El Salvador wasn't sitting on the 3rd largest oil reserves in the world that everyone wanted to get their hands on.

So another GOP talking point is proven wrong...again!
